I have been to this location a few times and it is the same everytime. Woman at the register is rude as hell. I got a beef sandwich with fries and beans. The beans are great, the fries and great, the sauce is ok. If they charged 50 cents for a sandwich and $5 dollars for a drink they would be millionaires. It is dry and hard to swallow. I would say pass on this place.

The lady's who takes your order isn't that friendly and sounds like a man ... The meat is dry as hell... The Frys are a grease ball mess.. wasn't impressed one bit ... not ever going back ..

Food was fine, customer service was bad. I will not be back, which is too bad since I work nearby

Got the beef and turkey combo sandwich with crispy fries - $8ish total. It was all right I suppose if you are in the neighborhood...I wouldn't drive out of my way to go there though.

The worst BBQ I have had in KC. It was cheap, but not worth it. The inside looks like it hasn't been cleaned since it opened; the ceiling tiles and windows are stained from cigarette smoke, the place reeks of cigarettes, the tables were kind of tacky like someone spilled soda on them and tried to clean it with just water. I got a nail in my tire in their parking lot too.

The price is right, the ribs are generous, meaty, moist, and beautifully smoked, and the sauce is Kansas City excellent. Though the interior decor is strictly down-home old-school and slightly shabby, the staff were friendly and the 57 Chevy outside sets the tone perfectly.

I remember eating here a lot as a kid. The customer service has always been poor and it has gotten worse. The food used to be great, though. It is now mediocre

They did not have pulled pork. The sliced pork was tender and hot, but lacked color and good flavor. The sauce and meat both had very little flavor. The fries were pretty crispy and had nice color, however they too lacked taste. Over all they received a 76%.

The building shows some promise when pulling in. Not a chain yeah! Ok, walking in you see the owners view on gun control (lack there of). Not a problem as I happen to agree. Got the feeling that this would be a place that if I made the wrong comment I'd be told to leave. Ordered burnt ends fires and beans. The beans were good although a little running. They had some kick. The burnt ends weren't the best I've had or the worst. Crinkle cut fries were cooked properly. The ice tea was good. Haven't been back, but wouldn't be against it.

They are not very friendly here but the food is good. I don't come here very often because I don't feel welcome here. I like to patronize the smaller, family-owned joints but like I said, it's not very friendly here. I did enjoy the burnt ends dinner. Everything was good. Maybe someone else will have better luck with the atmosphere here than I did. I hate to write it off but I usually avoid coming here unless I get desperate but like I said, the food is good.

I called them at 8:30 p.m. for a take out order. Was told to be there by closing at 9 p.m. Ordered a whole slab of ribs 1 lbs. of brisket and container of cole slaw. Best thing about the meal was the cole slaw. The ribs were very tough and chewy. Seemed very undercooked to me. The brisket was ice cold. Not impressed at all with the attitude or the bbq.

I went here to get my husband and myself a sandwich and fries for dinner it was great as it always is. Love the way it is always made to order. It was about 5pm on a Saturday . I love this place you could not pay me to anywhere else.

It's good BBQ.. Especially if you're just coming off the highway... It's pretty easy to get to and has decent parking.. In front.. Big lot In back. (I have a camper) I thought it would be packed.. It's the 4th of July, but it's not. Maybe it's due to the grumpy cook.. Or the minuscule beer selection... Or the funeral-home atmosphere.. Or maybe there are lots of better BBQ places. Who knows. Anyway, I had a huge plate of spicy, saucy burnt ends with slaw and potato salad.. ate less than half and am sure this is going to be lunch tomorrow. Pretty good!

Tonight's meal was not very good, got the Burnt Ends. They were barely edible. Way to over done and chewey. I should have know better, as a customer took his plate of ribs to the counter asking for something else to eat because they were hard. Guess I need to stick to sandwiches. Could the staff throw in some utensils for to go orders? Still the best french fries.

I've lived in kc for 40 years. Been awhile since I've eaten here. Really had my heart set on BBQ tonight. I love their fries and sauce. The pork dinner was so so. In general I left unsatisfied and still have the want for BBQ.

I went here with a KC native who is a trucker who travels almost as much as I do. He swears by this place. I thought the ribs were pretty good. The sauce has some kick to it. The fries were pretty tasty as well. One thing I liked about this place was that the portions were substantial. It's not my favorite BBQ ever, but it's solid.

Bedrock BBQ. Local flavor in all aspects. Go and get it!

So BBQ is not at the top of my list, but when I go I try to hit the best. I find Arthur Bryant's pretty bland. Gates-great. My favorite is Jack Stack...somewhere in between falls Wyandot. I grew up eating this since it was close to my house. Yes, it is old and run down and yes, people notice you when you walk in...it is super small. However, the food is consistent and the BBQ is quality and full of flavor. Locals love it and if you don't expect fine dining, you will be fine.

I went here on the recommendation of a native Kansas City-ian. She said they had the best beans and great fries. When I walked in, the place was nearly empty, and all eyes were on me as I tried to decide what to order. I decided to try the brisket, as pulled pork (my favorite) was not on the menu. I got beans and fries as well. The food was served up very quickly, and the portions were good. However, the brisket was fatty, and the fries were overdone. The beans were fine, but nothing like OK Joe's or even Arthur Bryant's. The worst part for me (and I know, I am one of those wacky Californians) was the dirty ashtrays on every table. I have asthma, so I avoid smoke completely, but having it right on the table was so unappetizing. I would definitely go for OK Joe's or Arthur Bryant's over this place. Not worth the trip, and the second Arthur Bryant's at Legends is not that far away!
